This company was formed by Mary M. Alexander, PLS, CCLS, as an added service to the legal community. Mary has been instrumental in providing continuing education services to attorneys and their staff within Southern California since 1989. Many legal secretaries and paralegals seeking employment attend Legal Procedure Classes taught by Mary to brush up on their litigation skills. These classes provide an overview of the litigation process thereby bringing those attending up-to-speed on the current state and local rules, as well as procedures to better prepare them to compete with others in the job market. 

            Through this venue, Mary has made numerous contacts with various law firms in need of filling positions, as well as with legal secretaries and paralegals seeking employment. As a result of this networking, referrals to employers and legal staff have been accomplished.   Recognizing the need for an outlet to post resumes in a more localized venue, Mary has expanded the services she provides and has formed Legal Employment Connection. 

            This site is of mutual benefit to both employers and those seeking employment in the field of law. Through this free service, attorneys, legal administrators, legal secretaries, paralegals, file clerks, and law clerks are able to post their resumes.  Sole practitioners and law firms may also post employment opportunities.   Attorneys and law firms not wishing to post a job opening or those posting a job opening may access the active resumes posted by e-mailing legalemployment@verizon.net and requesting access to the active resumes page.
 

            The intent of Legal Employment Connection is to simplify the process by providing a localized venue by county for law offices with job openings to fill those positions, and for legal staff to find employment that meets their qualifications.
